DEVELOPMENT MANAGER WA
Reports to: Director of Development
Location of Job: Perth, WA on Whadjuk Nyoongar Land (hybrid & flexible working arrangements available)
Appointment type: Maternity Leave Cover – 14 months – June 2025 to August 2026 Part-Time (0.8 FTE)

Musica Viva Australia relies on the generosity of its supporters to help bring its mission to life- giving audiences access to the performances, education programs, new works and tours for which they are renowned. This role plays is crucial to developing and implementing strategies to strengthen Musica Viva Australia’s philanthropic and private income-related outcomes, in Western Australia.
With demonstrated experience in fundraising and relationship management, ideally gained in the arts or the broader not for profit sector, the successful candidates will display excellent interpersonal and communication skills which will see them engaging easily with stakeholders both internal and external in driving the organisation’s philanthropic agenda. An interest in and/or knowledge of the arts scene, classical music and music education will be fundamental.

QUEENSLAND STATE COORDINATOR
Reports to: Queensland State Manager
Location of Job: Brisbane on Turrbal & Jagera Land
Appointment type: Permanent part-time (3 days or 22.5 hours per week) / Hybrid & flexible working arrangements available

This position works across all aspects of MVA including concerts, education, development and marketing.
Qualities that will make you successful in this role:
- Confidence and a commitment to MVA’s vision
- Experience working in or understanding of the arts sectors and/or the education and knowledge of the Queensland education and arts landscape.
- Strong organisational and administration skills.
- Good stakeholder management and sales skills
- Proven interpersonal skills with ability to work independently and as part of a team.

NSW NT & Tasmania Education Team – located in Sydney on Gadigal Land
MVA is one of the leading providers of music education in Australia. In this role, you'll lead, build and nurture relationships with schools and teachers, drive program sales, coordinate professional development for educators, and manage special music projects and residencies. The ideal candidate brings proven arts administration experience, strong knowledge of music education, excellent communication skills, and understanding of school environments.
You'll supervise education coordinators and administrators while working collaboratively with our marketing and development teams. EDUCATION ADMINISTRATOR, NSW NT & TASMANIA

In this support role, you'll be the first point of contact for teachers and musicians while providing crucial administrative and marketing assistance for our celebrated In Schools program. Working closely with the Education Manager, you'll process bookings, coordinate digital resources, manage evaluation activities, and help organise professional development sessions for educators. This position offers the perfect opportunity to contribute to our vision of creating a music-rich future for all Australians.
We're seeking an organised self-starter with excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a flexible team environment. The ideal candidate brings 1-2 years of administrative experience in a not-for-profit or arts organisation, strong attention to detail, and exceptional customer service abilities. Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office is preferred, and musical or educational background is highly desirable.
