JAKUB JANKOWSKI
Jakub Jankowski is a composer based in Adelaide, working primarily in the field of chamber and symphonic music. In March 2024, his musical drama Nevermore for piano and actress was premiered by Katherine Tonkin and Konstantin Shamray as part of the 2024 Adelaide Festival’s Chamber Landscapes. In April 2024, Jakub’s setting of Franz Kafka’s Before the Law for soprano and chamber orchestra was premiered by Sara Macliver and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Stephen Layton. Jakub’s works have been featured at a number of festivals including the Tongyeong International Music Festival (2019), the Huntington Estate Chamber Music Festival (2019), and the Lockenhaus Chamber Music Festival (2018).
