People & Culture Advisor

At MVA one of our strategic goals is to invest in our people and culture to ensure MVA is an inclusive, accessible and future-focused organisation. 

We are seeking an experienced part-time human resources professional to join our small People & Culture team, with excellent organisational skills and demonstrated interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Manager, Special Projects and Regional Touring

Musica Viva Australia is passionate about sharing outstanding music and artists with regional communities. Whether you’re in Tyalgum, Bermagui, Wagga Wagga, or anywhere in between, we are delighted to be presenting over 40 events with our NSW presenting partners. 

We are looking for a Sydney-based arts generalist who loves both spreadsheets and speaking with people all over NSW and Australia. The Manager for Special Project & Regional Touring position is the lynchpin for our NSW regional touring program, working with regional presenters, Australian musicians, and Musica Viva Australia colleagues, and also with performing artists and cultural partners in Sydney, especially users of our rehearsal space, the Janette Hamilton Studio. 

With demonstrated experience in scheduling and tour logistics, managing relationships, and strong organisational skills, ideally gained in the arts or the broader not for profit sector, the successful candidate will display excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an attention to detail, and be a confident driver. The ideal candidate will have a high degree of understanding of the pressures on regional communities, at least two years’ experience in presenting classical music performances with the ability to talk confidently and collaboratively with peers in this area, and in marketing or audience development. An interest in and/or knowledge performance lighting or audio systems is desired.

Education Project Coordinator

Musica Viva Australia’s Education programs are developed mainly for a primary school audience and are comprised of live performance, digital resources, and teacher professional development.

The Education Projects Coordinator is a member of the Education team, supporting the Director of Education and wider team with administration and logistical support for a broad range of special projects.

Volunteer Positions - Get in touch!

Our volunteers have played an integral role with Musica Viva Australia since its founding in 1945, when European refugees volunteered their time to see their cultural roots flourish in their new country. Today, our volunteers donate their time to roles on committees, administration, and providing specialty services, and we’re hugely grateful for their contributions.
